Muthukoya's childhood and adolescence were also inherited by Mata. Father Seithukoya had taken up the task of calling the bank at a church near Vengara Gate . Koya completed his primary education at Muttand new market. The family had migrated from Lakshadweep to Kannur. He was a high school student. Later, he became a student of The Fine Arts of Madras School of Fine Arts. Muthukoya was one of the famous disciples of the famous Painter KCS workers. Later many famous classmates were present. Moved to Delhi in 1970. For a long time, he has served in various projects of the Central Government for twenty-five years. Finally, he retired as chief exhibition officer of the Central Government.

Koya is impressive in his own style of Indian painting. His surrealist works create a unique mood in the audience. Koya has repeatedly said that madai where he spent his childhood had influenced his thoughts and dreams. He proudly says that I grew up with the ever-rising instrument from Madaikavu. The vast landscape of Madayipara and its ruggedness are filled with the memories of Muthukoya.

Muthukoya, an artist who flew into the infinite viharas of world art, is not only a painter but also a great thinker, philosopher and a secularist. He is the pride of Madayi.
